Ampati will be host to workshop on kite flying by international kite flying expert Mehul Pathak and his team. The internationally acclaimed kite flies will arrive at Ampati in South West Garo Hills (SWGH) on Wednesday to hold the workshop and display some of the largest kites on December 16-17, 2015.
Pathak has represented India in Malaysia, Dubai, Singapore, Taiwan and Australia.
Pathak and his team is also known for making different types of kite — 3D kite, aero foil, inflatable box kite and many more. “I have a collection of more than 100 kites of different shapes and sizes”, he informed.
Expressing happiness of being in Meghalaya to showcase kites at the Ampati kite festival, “I am honoured that the district administration and Tourism department has invited me to hold the workshop and display kites”, said Pathak.
